About Us

The Portland Area Senior Softball League (PASS) can trace its roots back to the early 1990s when it consisted of 4-6 teams playing on various fields around the city. Through the years, the league went through many configurations, but it wasn’t until around 2004 that the league really took off with Ron Boley and Bob Eisenhauer forming pick-up games at the new complex. ...

Since then, the league has flourished under various leaderships including Dick Johnson, Mike Sisavic, Ron Barr, and Bill Tidd.

Currently, the league has well over 100 players participating in three different divisions from May through October.  Currently, we play doubleheaders, usually on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays (depending on the Division) starting at 10:00 AM.  We play at two locations, Delta Park, which has natural grass fields, and North Clackamas, which has turf and natural fields.  The three divisions of the league feature players of all skill levels with one common interest: A love of the game!

Players are drafted at the beginning of each season with an eye toward promoting parity among the teams. We allow accommodations, such as courtesy and pinch runners and we promote safety, with rules such as "run-through" on the base-paths. Other rules, such as additional defensive players, are designed to promote safety as well as allowing senior athletes to participate even if they are limited by injury or health issues. All qualified players are welcome regardless of ability or where they live.

PASS is organized into three divisions. For contact information about the managers, the season schedule and the current standings or if you want to register to play, click on Divisions in the menu at the top.
